Simulating the world with Scratch

Nick Cook, Newcastle University

Description

This is a hands-on workshop on using Scratch to simulate real-world biological systems such as epidemics and predator-prey ecosystems. This is a relatively simple introduction to modelling and simulation that can be quite powerful in itself and can also lead onto the use of more complex environments such as StarLogoNG and NetLogo.
