Tom Gullen, Scirra
This workshop will focus on the use of Construct 3 (https://www.construct.net/gb) as a tool for teaching the National Curriculum Programme of Study for Computing. We will focus on KS3 but with reference to use at KS2 level, KS4 and beyond. The workshop will use materials generated by Scirra and by existing teachers that have been used in education. We will also consider the use of a game development tool as a central component in the wider context of teaching skills such as Product Design, Development, Testing and Marketing and explain where Construct 3 sits relative to products such as Scratch and Unity.
