Using Parsons Problems to increase confidence and progress with programming

Programming a solution from a blank page can be daunting, frustrating and demoralising. Using a variety of prepared problems we will explore strategies to scaffold learning and engage students by helping them gain success during the early stages of understanding any knew programming principle - whether it's input / process / output or graph traversal algorithms.
