Teaching A level for the first time

Paul Robson, Cramlington Learning Village

An introduction to the experience of teaching A level Computer Science for the first time. What have been the highlights and challenges that I have had to overcome over the past few years. What have been the areas students have found most challenging and which we will go through those in more depth. How have I managed to upskill myself to a point where I feel more comfortable teaching the course. I will discuss how I have managed to get sufficient numbers to make the course viable. I will also discuss next steps to try and push on and continually improve the course and department.
